I don't have a utility disc to repair my computer. I have been having
it do some hard freezes, mainly in the last three days. I wanting to
run something, what does the computer have? I can't start up off
something else than my hard drive. I have a utilities drive on my
desktop (partition) but I can't start up there because there isn't
enough space to put a system.
I heard that there is something inside OSX that lets you repair
without starting up? I have run Disk Utility.
Not sure if I'm reading you right, but do you have the OS X software disk? You are better off using Disk Utility booted off the disk.....

I do not have a disc at all. I am wanting to buy the 10.2.8 or higher for my computer. I have no disk at all. What can I do?
Melinda
You really should legally own a copy of the system software on your computer....
But we won't go there... :))
Not to worry, Melinda isn't working illegally. :o)
She does have her own copy of OSX.
I forgot to ship it with her computer, but she needed help asap.
:o)
I told her she could come here, where all the wise OSX users are and maybe they could help her until she receives the CD.
Thanks everyone for your expertise.
You've been a great help.
