Thanks for the view Tom! And I whole-heartily agree.. There are many uses for windoze machines.. The largest of which is my paycheck.. For almost 10 years now, Microcrap has funded my Mac habit.. And with this new SP2(steaming pile of goat waste). It seems like I will make enough to get a dual G5.. So I guess there is yet another use for that bloated, over marketed pig that is Windows...Larry le Mac wrote:
Please don't take that as an attack on you as it is NOT, but rest assured that there are many, many things a PC with Windoze can do that a Mac can't. I.e. one is sometimes forced to use a PC, but would like to make one's life a little better by not having to stare at XP's interfaced which seemingly is aimed at the 3-5 years olds.
You are sooooo right! Why just the other day, I used my old windoze machine to mash down the contents of my backyard composter. It was just the right tool for the job.
And when my wife can't reach the top cupboard, there it is, the perfect footstool.
I am excited that someone else finally sees there are credible uses for this platform.
Did you know that turned on its' side, a Windows tower is just big enough to hold a large pizza on top? Standing properly, you can squeeze a few brewskis up there.
You know, I love my B&W G3 and my 1400, but they are not nearly so multifaceted as my windows machine.
Usually when we want to make it look more mac-like, I have the kids take out a box of crayons and draw the finder on the side. Then, when we are tired of the look, we hose it down, let it dry off and start off all over again.
The windows platform is wrongly maligned worldwide, and I resent that. It is a very useful piece of hardware. :-)
