I wish they made safari for OS 9 so I could use it on my other mac but I'm using the OS X mac so I don't worry about it much ;o)

I would agree with Jason. I would look at FireFox and iCab.. If he's running X. If he's still running 9.x, get mozilla and iCab.. Those are my main browsers on my X machines ( 2 G3/300's). And my OS 9.2.1 machines ( 8600/300, 6500/250)..
