I need to switch my memory out of my ibook. Seems my husband tried a while back, to put the 500 ibook memory into the 700 ibook.
Seems the 700 ibook memory had an extra tab, so it wouldn't fit in the 500 ibook. So we are assuming the ram is different? The System Profiler says this 700 has an empty spot for DIMM1/J12 The 500 ibook says it has a DIMM1/J12. Are there two types of DIMM1/J12? Thanks for your help. BTW, is there anyplace I should not buy extra memory? Any recommendations on where to buy memory? Are there usually an after Christmas sale, because we aren't in a hurry. Anyone used OCW memory?
