Hoo boy. Finally got Jaguar on a CD (the actual OS X v10.2.3 retail version)
instead of on a DVD and thought, kewl! Will be able to install it now (even
Apple says it will)! Well, refuses to boot from the CD drive (original one
that came with the G3MT) just get a totally gray screen (no darker gray
apple in the middle) with what looks like a little horizontal line in the
upper left hand corner, nothing else.

OK, well there's always XPostFacto, right? WRONG! It looks good until it
gets to the gray screen with the darker gray apple in the middle and just
stays there forever. Nothing more. I don't know enough about the options in
Xpostfacto to fool around too much, tried several options.

I did get XPostFacto to install 10.1 about a month ago with some crazy
option combination but it ran slow as molasses (when I had a DVD drive and a
10.1 DVD disk to install it with XPostFacto) so I trashed it - I couldn't
stand it.

I printed out the XPostFacto manual and followed it to the 'T' you know less
than 8 GB partition, OS 9.2.2 on another partition, etc. Have a Sonnet 800
mhz upgrade ZIF, 448 MB RAM. Anyone out there know what the problem might
be? Googled the livin' heck out of it, found a lot of information, but
nothing that is helping. Figured you guys and gals are the ones to go to for
sure!

Thanks for any help.

Oh please CC me a copy of any reply as I have not been getting any G-List
digest emails for a while now, before that kept on getting bounced email
messages to reply to that email but I'd get a random digest once in a while
but now haven't gotten one in a couple of weeks. I know List Nanny wrote
about that so I try to check the G-List archives as much as I can but it's a
bit difficult sometimes. So if you could CC me any replies, it would be
greatly appreciated.
