Maybe this is too simple after all the go-arounds on this subject. But I tried to install Jaguar on my Beige MT tower at work (I use Panther just fine on my Beige at home.) The work machine has a scsi card running the boot drive. Well, Jag won't install on an hfs formatted drive, it must be hfs+. Could that be your problem? If it is, you just need to reformat the drive.
