Even if the Mac Mini were $300 it is not a computer for the typical Mac computer geek.
The Mini was built on Job's appliance concept for mom, pop, and grandparents who aren't ever going to tinker with it.
No, but it is the ONLY way in which Apple can survive, by selling consumer goods for the average guy.
If Steve hadn't brought out the iMac and the iPod Apple wouldn't be here today, and the Mac mini shows that he is in fact commited the the platform and not only the auxilliary stuff like MP3 players.
