I'm fairly ignorant of the generic monitor/keyboard markets. Just started surveying the landscape - stores, Dell, eBay, etc.

search froogle, but LCD's are still expensive, alas.

You folx have some specific brand/model likes and dislikes, for *inexpensive* CRTs or LCDs, keyboards etc?

Dell has been using their LCD's as loss leaders, even sold separately.

There are nothing but inexpensive CRT's. I've been told that all the major manufacturers are getting out of the CRT business as the margins are too thin.

Keyboards and meeses are pretty generic; just about anything USB will work.

I found this link <http://tinyurl.com/45o35> for some really cheap ($2.25 each) PS/2 - USB keyboard converters, then any old keyboard will work.

I wish, though that Apple still made the old extended pro keyboards that shipped with the first G4's, everyone who comes in our office drools over that extra USB port on the end, just perfect for a USB memory stick.
