It is a shame what happened to Apple after they fired Steve Jobs. Jobs has this self defensive motive that makes him get better when others tell him he is not good. Wow.

And he also thinks he's better than he is at some things. If I remember right, reading an FAA accident report several years ago, Jobs was the guy with a private pilot license for single engine aircraft who bought a big twin and decided he should be able to fly it just fine without any extra instruction. He loaded some friends in it and nearly killed them all when he wrecked the plane. He was cited by the FAA for trying to fly something he wasn't qualified for. This kind of an ego is not always harmless.

No. That's probably a conflation of some other event and Steve Wozniak's plane crash (which was an single seater ultralight, iirc).

If you can provide proof, please do; a google search of "Steve Jobs" and "plane crash" only brings up references to Woz's accident.

No, it wasn't Woz. At the time I read about it, I subscribed to an aviation information service for pilots that listed all FAA accident reports with the probable causes, for the education of pilots. This service was prohibited from listing the pilots' names, but it referred to this pilot as the "founder of Apple." That would be Jobs, would it not? It was not an ultralight; it was a full size twin-engine aircraft that he loaded up with his friends and then, if I remember right, crashed through a fence at the airport on either landing or takeoff. Everybody was shaken up but not seriously hurt, or he would have been in even more trouble.

Tom

Tom,

Jobs and Woz are co-founders of Apple. It was Wozniak's plane that crashed.
