Been running OSX for two years and I still can't wean from OS9. I know that will have to end someday but I might keep my G3s for a while to be headache free untill Apple improves OSX. No I am not saying OSX is bad, is a very good OS, I honestly think if they hadn't left so many things from OS9 behind, it would be perfect. But until then, its still incomplete to me.

Sorry you were having such a problem with OS X. I am on my third week with OS X on a new G5 iMac and I haven't booted to OS 9 but once or twice to try out some things I had moved over from the old computer.

I do have several programs that need OS 9 but otherwise I do everything in OS X. Yes, there are some things that the newer version doesn't do that you could do in OS 9 but there are several things that are better in OS X...that I used to use extra stuff in OS 8 and 9 to get...the choices on the Finder page - new folder, move to trash, etc. I LOVE the 3 panel viewing pane and preview! I like being able to not restart every couple days when Netscape would get overwhelmed and quit and then I would have to restart everything to get back to my set up.

Maybe someone will have some ideas on the Telnet, etc. you were having trouble with.
