I think it's funny that 95% of all people who criticise Mac OS X do so because it doesn't have this or that feature, which OS 9 did, say this out of complete ignorance.
Bruce Johnson beautifully corrected a bunch of incorrect points, in a nice sarchy style (the way I like it!).
If you want to modify the way OS X behaves, go on the net and search, and ye shall find, and if you can't be bothered...
...stick with OS 9, your loss!!
I for one will never willingly use anything other than Mac OS X, and I am in the process of collecting all my old Macs and driving them to the tip (Macintosh II X through to PowerMac G3-233MHz beige), because they're not a patch on my iMac G4, PowerBook G4 Alu and QuickSilver server, and soon to be iMac G5.
