I wrote a little "howto" for creating VCDs, because I do it so seldom, and wanted to remember how to do it once I needed to do it again. :) I came up with two ways to do it easily; both ways start with iMovie, and both ways end up with a VCD.

The iVCD method was done with version 1.1, before they had menu support. It has proven good for VHS-tape-like VCDs (e.g. one movie per disc; auto-starts when you hit play). The VCD Builder method has proven useful for DVD-like VCDs (e.g. multiple movies per disc, complete with menu system).

Using iVCD:
1- Export to Quicktime (Full Quality DV) from iMovie
2- Open iVCD and create project with all QT .mov files
3- Click convert
4- Click image
5- Click Burn

Using ffmpegX or iVCD; VCD Builder; and MissingMediaBurner
1- Export to Quicktime (Full Quality DV) from iMovie
2a- open ffmpegX and convert all movies with Quick Preset "VCD (NTSC)"
2b- Open iVCD and create project with all QT .mov files; click convert
3- Create VCD Builder project
4- Import all movies into VCD Builder project
5- Set up VCD menus as desired
6- click Make Images (bin/cue)
7- Open MissingMediaBurner, load cue file from #6
8- Burn

I neglected to mention that step 2 here is an OR - choose 2a OR 2b - do not do both.
