Hi fellow G-listers, I'm finally, FINALLY up and running again with a G3!!! New technical stats:
G3/266, Beige Desktop, Rev 3 OS 9.1 256 meg RAM And yes, that 20 gig IDE Western Digital Hard Drive. :-D I'm hoping one of you can offer me suggestions concerning my difficulties connecting on IRC (using IRCle 3.1) I am getting the following prompt when I try to sign on to the server: "Looking up IP number for irc.wikked.us Found IP number: 69.64.39.137 Identd listening (port 113) Contacting server irc.wikked.us Connection with irc.wikked.us (49156) established Identd connection with 69.64.39.137 established *** Looking up your hostname... *** Checking ident... Identd query received (49156 , 6667) Identd query matched local port, sending username "Yersinia" *** Couldn't resolve your hostname; using your IP address instead Identd closed *** Received identd response *** USER Not enough parameters" I can't sign on to the Undernet any more either. While the new G3 has made my life wonderful again in every other respect, this is the one thing I can't do that I was able to do before (i.e., get on IRC).
