Ive had this sawtooth built and running for about a month now, but its never
really been the way i like it. Its built with eBay parts. It is a rev 1
Sawtooth, 450MHz, 896MB RAM, one DIMM is high density, flashed PC Radeon 9200
128MB VRAM, Fujitsu MAN3367 U160 SCSI drive on a PowerDomain 39160, modded ATX
PS,
superdrive, OS 10.3.5. My problems:

I can only get the SCSI drive working in Single Ended mode, not DIFFSNS
(presumably the equivalent of LVD). I am using an U160 terminator.

The computer has recently had problems accessing ATA HDs, but not the
superdrive. I have tried both busses and several cables.

The computer only works with the case open. The temp in my room is in the
high 80s. I have 2 fans on the processor. When the case is closed, the
harddrive does not seem to get accessed.

It is very sensitive to vibration. Closing the case or a mild kick almost
always results in a freeze. My keyboard has fallen on the motherboard,
resulting in a freeze, but after a restart everything works. Presumably I
didnt cause
permanent MoBo damage.

Lastly, the computer seems slow. Playing poker online results in Internet
Explorer using over 50 percent of the processor, whereas OS 9 ran it much
smoother. Everything just seems much slower in OS X than in OS 9.

Thanks for any input

Chris
