Actually, I had the stock (or special order) atto scsi card and the 9.1 gig
quantum that came with my beige g3 333, and a maxtor 15 gig 5400 rpm kicked
it's butt on the native ide. The scsi did less than 10mb/sec, the ide over
13mb/sec, testing with the atto drive tool. I would imagine its been a
while since they've made an ide drive that wouldn't outperform the built-in
scsi. kj.
