Hello G-Listers.
You people who talk about code inefficiency are really making me laugh.
You complain that OS X's code isn't as "efficient" as OS 9's - HAHA.
OS 9's was terribly inefficient (especially WRT multitasking), yet it
ran OS 9 programs faster (of course) than OS X does. Do you lament the
days of MS-DOS, which runs DOS programs faster than Windows does?
You should instead be complaining about all of the unnecessary eye
candy, not of the supposed inefficiency. Just because there is eye
candy does not mean the OS is inefficient or poorly written. Indeed,
based on what I know of MS and Apple, and of what I know of Windows, OS
9, and OS X, I would venture a guess that OS X is written much better
than either of the others.
