That doesn't really work, does it? My understanding of the cuda button is that it's a reset switch for PR(AM and anything else that's powered by the battery when the system is off and not powered by the AC cord). I've designed a few dozen microprocessor boards in the past 20 years (many types of procs) and a reset switch only works with power applied. In this case it's when it's battery only and not plugged into the wall. The way it works is ALL processors - and many other types of chips like flash and SDRAM which are in all our Macs - have a reset input that is activated by a logic low. This initializes all of the devices - read as IC's - in a digital system. It's a way of telling the system to go back to start and try again. Like when we press control-command-start keys on our Macs when they crash (during the development of a proc board the reset switches often get worn out on the prototypes). The signal is normally a logic high until the reset switch is pressed which sends a logic low pulse to the pin of the devices which in turn reset themselves. Resets are critical with every thing you own that contains digital electronics including cars, phones, coffee pots, cameras, can openers, oh, and computers.
