There's something I should've mentioned earlier: this computer is one of the 
ones which came equipped with a Zip drive, so the CD-ROM drive is on an ATA bus 
with that instead of the hard drive. Maybe this is it? Perhaps I could try 
switching the CD-ROM drive to the hard drive's ATA bus? First, I'd need to find 
out how to get the drive cage out of the way, so that I can get to the primary 
hard drive; any idea how to?
