issues. Since the ADB port runs through it, perhaps it is part of the
reason why the keyboard becomes unresponsive when the monitor dies. I
have hooked up one of my older 13" units in place of the 17", to see
if this happens again during a Disk Verification process.

I have a 17" Sony Multiscan 110GS and I have the loss of monitor
problem. If I haven't mentioned it, yes I loose the ADB Keyboard at the
same time that I loose the monitor. Perhaps part of the problem is that
OSX doesn't support ADB, I guess the I could get the USB keyboard that
I have in the garage and see if that makes a difference.
