If you don't wish to enable region free you can use the mac OSX
firmware
flasher available at this site (DVRFlash 2.0) with the firmware
upgrade
files for your particular drive from Pioneer's site. If anything
interferes
- sleep, power loss etc - with the flash process your drive could be
rendered useless. This can only be remedied by a reflash using a pc
and dos
commands or a dos app.
I tried the DVRFlash app, but it says I need a kernel file as well.
I've searched the web, and have come up empty. If anyone could link
me to the correct files, I'd really appreciate it.
