No. ATA drives are just as fast (you're bound by the 66Mhz bus speed
in the B&W anyway) and vastly cheaper and far less fiddly.
get a controller from someplace like Other World Computing <http://
eshop.macsales.com/item/SIIG/SCMP4A12/> and another big HDD and
you're good to go.
Then get that drive on sale at Frys, and you've got a setup for <
$200 that you would have to pay well near $1000 or more for in SCSI.
