Well, I guess I was getting brave (before this thread started). I don't have to buy RAM right now (my G3/266 Beige DT has 256 megs which I find satisfactory at present), but since I figure in the future I might want to put more RAM in it, I always read the listings on the Swap List where people are selling RAM (so far though, even the used RAM which is said to be tested and good is too pricey for me at the moment). But I was feeling good about the IDEA of used RAM on account of the fact that my boyfriend had a PC-100 stick (which came out of some old computer he pulled out of the dump who knows how long ago: he's a pack rat) and gave it to me -- which is what got me up to that 256 megs, and it works beautifully along with the also used RAM we pulled out of my original G3/233. So in light of this good experience with used RAM I'd decided, "I'll just keep my eyes on the Swap List...if I can find it really cheap, maybe I'll buy some, if not, I'll wait till I actually need it...."
