Not to jump on the "me too" bandwagon, but what *is* the normal processor
operating temperature for a B&W G3? I have a 400 MHz B&W G3 running OS
9.2.2. The PSU fan runs fine. I'm at work right now and can't take a look
at the case fan. When I check it, Gauge Pro continually shows my CPU
processor core temperature at 47 C, topping out after several hours of use
at 51-53 C. Is this normal? I didn't think it was and spent ten bucks on a
PCI slot fan that hasn't done much to affect the processor temperature at
all. In comparison, the G4 (Gigabit Ethernet) that I use at work runs
between 6-9 C.

Now, I will say that I have 3 hard drives in the B&W case: an 80GB WD
Caviar, a 6GB Quantum drive pulled from a dead Summer 2001 iMac, and the
stock 9GB Quantum that came with the machine. The 6GB Quantum is on an
ATA66 PCI Card, and I'm considering adding another spare drive in the case
if it looks like I won't exceed the PSU limits, as the machine also has a
Zip drive and the stock Apple DVD/CD-ROM drive (I have an external CD-R
burner).

If the case fan needs to be replaced (and after reading Will's post, I'm
starting to panic about that a bit) where can they be had other than eBay,
and how difficult are they to install?
