Actually, if it works, it works just fine, runs better than Jag, in fact, it's just there are some beiges that were Never Meant For Panther. Mine was one.

I know someone who could never get even 10.2 installed on his, even after swapping out *every* component. (he had an Apple tech as a friend who took an interest, then an obsessive interest in getting...OSX...to...run...on...that...damn...Beige!)

I think the beige G3 line is turning out to be one of the more idiosyncratic lines Apple made.
