Anyway I have
completely dried it, and it still doesnt work. im just not sure if its the plastic pieces or the circuit board that has gone bad. Unfortunately the Apple Store i
bought it from kept me on hold longer than I could stand today. I really hope
this doesnt cost me more than the long drive back to the store. And I am
assuming it is the circuit board that has gone bad because the rest of the
keyboard is just so simple and appears as though it should be functional.

I haven't been following this thread up to this point, so my apologies if I missed points that make this info irrelevant.

Many, perhaps most, newer keyboards are made of a folded sheet of mylar with circuit traces etched onto it. The mylar is folded so that there are three layers with some holes cut to allow keycaps to make coated mylar touch coated mylar through the holes.

In my experience, if you get one of this style of keyboard wet, it is extremely difficult to get it working again. The water either takes forever or simply won't dry out from between the layers and when it does dry, it often leaves residue behind that affects the function.

I've tried unfolding the mylar so it can dry properly, but they just never seem to go back together right after they're unfolded.

Anyway, if your keyboard is one of the folded mylar types, I think the prognosis is poor.

If your keyboard is a keyswitch on circuit board type of keyboard, then the above is irrelevant.
