Hi all,
I worked at Claris during the time of all this stuff... ClarisDraw
had more "features" but MacDraw Pro was a better and more accurate
drawing program. Successor is an excellent description. ;)
ClarisDraw was based on the ClarisWorks drawing engine, so it's
pretty lightweight. Back then, I found I would use MacDraw Pro and
ClarisImpact together rather than use ClarisDraw... but for simple
stuff, ClarisDraw worked fine.
smiles,
Jamie

MacDraw Pro commercial app from Claris
Claris Draw was the successor to Pro. Apple may have been prepping
for a cross platform app, so they changed the name from MacDraw to
Claris Draw.
I'm pretty sure that ClarisDraw had a lot more features than
MacDraw. And everything new from them was getting the "Claris"
moniker.
