I don't know if this will help or not.
I had a B&W which froze a lot. I'd take it into the shop and never would.
Long story short, the problem was too close of a fit in a computer desk and
the thing was overheating.
I put the B&W on my desktop and the problem was solved.
'Course this was in pre-Tiger days.
Could my problem be kernel panics?
I have upgraded my B&W Rev 1 (512mb, 2 SCSI HDs) with PowerLogix
850mHz G3 zif, using the original 300mHz heatsink.
Whether I am booting the HD with OS9.2 or the other with OS10.2.8, it
has shortish freezes very often when opening new windows; an
example... it ALWAYS freezes when opening the Startup Disk CP (9.2)
or preference (10.2.8). The freeze can last anywhere from 5-30s.or
perhaps more, and is extremely irritating.
I had thought that it might be some bug in my copy of OS9, but after
installing X, it behaves just the same in that.
