I finally upgraded my G4 DA to Tiger 4.0, then 4.3, over my old 3.9. Everything
seems fine except that the Help menu item does not seem to work normally. The
only way I can get any help is through the menu list, not from the Help menu of
an app.
Also, mac OS help will not display any linked items below the top page.

I tried reinstalling from the DVD but there was no improvement. Repairing
permissions didn't help either. Is there anything I can do?

Also, after installation, I only have one user, rather than the user and System
Administrator. When I try to add System
Administrator as a user, it says the name is already taken, though it doesn't
diplay it in the user prefs page. Is this a Tiger thing, or did I do something
wrong. How can I sign in as System Administrator as I did in all previous
versions of X?

Yes, I know a clean installation is best, but my system is pretty complicated,
and I like to preserve whatever I can. I hope I don't find too many other
oddities.

Rich
