I use Safari for EVERYTHING! Banking with Regions Bank is no problem, shopping at any site is never a problem. The only place where Safari doesn't work and this was a big disappointment was for watching NBC's nightly news web casts....only works for IE 6 for later (reason unknown). But that's about the only place. Locally I depend on the Noaa.org website frequently (I live in South Florida). Safari is my clear cut choice. I do also own Omniweb, it has some nice features....pretty much the same as Safari with a few interface tweaks that I feel are definite improvements, but Safari still gets used more.

So, I finally bit the bullet. I have just upgraded from my beige G3 to a mini

I notice that most of you seem to use more than one browser for internet
purposes. Can
you tell me which you use and why?

I am really looking forward to losing IE. I am also converting my father (76)
over to OS
X and a new browser. Is there one that is simpler for him?

Thank you

I use Safari mostly - Firefox as a very able backup browser for those
few sites which Safari struggles with - Opera as they gave away free
registration not long ago - not bad but not really my choice - Sunrise is interesting and very lean and mean - so is iCab....pity the web seems to be going to pot with all the advertising - particularly the newspaper online
sites - rather annoying to have an ad fade in and obscure the newspage
you're reading.....whinge, whine....the Safari popup blocker can't do
anything about them....so I read the guardian.co.uk site - they don't have
any yet.
