RA,

I've always been an advocate of Pioneer, mainly because they have manufactured many Apple drives, are boot-able and supported.

There are some super deals out there right now for a DVR-110 delivered less than $45. There are different models of the DVR-110.

I am going to pick a new one up myself as my old Pioneer DVR-A03 is getting quite outdated. But I also want to find one of the DVR-110's that can write DVD-RAM, which is an incredible media that may never be outdone, although hopefully they will enlarge the disk space. While DVD-RAM never fully caught on, I find it as an excellent and amazing format. To be able to move files around, re-name, delete, edit, in a re-usable format-able, disk, etc, all on a DVD type disk, still amazes me. DVR-110 appears just like a hard drive on the desktop, I've already got a dual-sided 4.7 Gig DVD-RAM, which works great, but I might as get it in an all-in-one with a new drive.

So that's my 2ยข.
