These things work great, are bootable, but need Patchburn to work with Apple's iApps. Without Patchburn, the burners are still usable for reading and will require Toast to burn DVD's/CD's. Also many LG's have the ability to use DVD-RAM discs (read/write). The current models also offer burning onto dual layer discs (8.7GB discs).
