Well, I happen to understand that 1mHz eMacs may or may not dual boot,
and some might be lacking an internal modem. I did not expect my machine
to come as it was, with no modem and a ComboDrive with no dual boot.
Truly, it does lack a modem. System Profiler has no report on a hardware
modem, and where there's supposed to be a modem jack on the side, it's
just smooth down there. I'll pick up a USB modem for that.
I have resolved to make my Classic experience as much like good 'ol OS 9
as I can get, which seemingly is closer than I had imagined.
Motto of this story, not as sad as it seemed at 1st: Sometimes it's best
to go with a sure thing, rather than taking chances on a potentially
better offer. 'Works in life, and it surely works on eBay too. And asking
more questions does not hurt at all.
