I second that....

Me, too, uses an "old" beige G3 MT with MacOS 8.6. I will definitely not
upgrade to OS X, as this would mean I'd lose all of my peripherals, as OS X
doesn't have a single driver for my equipment. Besides, OS X at 300 MHz is
not fun.

I have everything I need to get my work done. My system is running stable
and I can do everything I need to do with it. With MacOS 8.6 and CarbonLib
1.6 almost every application intended for Mac OS 9 works just fine.

"Upgrading" to OS X would mean I'd need a completely new Mac and completely
new scanners, printer, etc. That is definitely too steep a price to pay.
