Hi Tim,

Your G5 should take an Airport Extreme card, don't know what else, if anything, might work. I finally went with a Linksys wireless router, because I got a good deal and it came with a PCMCIA card for my wintel 'book. My iBook has an original Airport card and it works just fine with the Linksys base. I've found that I can access Netgear and 2Wire base units as well. (Some neighbors haven't found time to set up security on their networks) Setup was a non-issue for the Airport card... the iBook was online as soon as I powered it up. The wintel 'book... well... it =was= a wintel!!! Had to run a setup/install program and it was a little quirky, but everything is okay now.

HTH,

Amanda

I need some opinions.

I'm moving to a place with a wireless router. I've always been hard core cable connected up until now. I'm getting a little forced to move ahead.... :))

What card do I need for my G5? What is the fastest for the money? Does it matter what kind of router they have? What do I have to do to set it up once there?

Help and thanks!
