While resources may be numerous and "free," the time to collect, evaluate,
and implement them is not; there's an opportunity cost there.

I know it's naughty to generalize, but I feel confident in saying that if
Macintosh users found their computing experience to take "constant effort
and discipline," they wouldn't be Macintosh users for long.
