No. The academic versions are the same as the regular versions, at least for the software you mention.

True and false. some programs do some don't. Adobe and MS require either finding the previous software to upgrade or a valid SN (sometimes CD) of the previous version. Don't know about Final Cut.

That said, at retail that's well over $2.4K worth of software alone.
