Seriously - about using the old Sherlock - though: you can still use
it. I fired up Classic and chose my Sherlock 1 and found things with
it. It is lovely! You need to put the app in the applications folder
along with all your 9 stuff. At least that is how I have it. But I am
not recommending it because at some stage one needs to get used to
whatever is supported and developed as things move on...

Sherlock? I hated it, Sloooow, never worked for web finds etc.
You do not need anything at all made by Apple to fancy doodle up even
further their software to make searches on the internet. There is
Google and just about a million other apps for this, the market is
over full on this. Better an app that can do one or two things well
and with simple elegance.
Slow! Slow? It is fast because one finds a file on one's machine (eg.
a 7300) without getting confused by what a roomful of programmers at
Apple think we must have for every possible occasion. Imagine a suite
that one had in a cupboard that the tailor took it upon himself to
make for every possible purpose. My God, who would want to wear it?
Can you imagine how clumsy it would look? Would you get married in
such a one? Attend a funeral? Meet the Queen? Nah, you would wear it
to a fancy dress party and make like a peacock...
