Personally, I've always found Quicktime Pro to be extremely slow at converting videos. MPEG Streamclip always seem to trounce it in terms of transcoding speed. Has Quicktime Pro been properly optimized in recent months, or is it as dog-slow as ever? I don't have a copy of Quicktime Pro any more, so I can't test it....
