CS. In Cable Select mode all drives must be jumpered to CS. As for your overall plan, this is a Mac, not a PC. Master/Slave bears no relationship whatsoever to boot volume. Once you're ready to switch, just go to System Prefs > Startup disk and choose the disk you want to boot from.
