HiI recently got a g4 FW800. I'm currently using a VGA monitor on the DVI port, and I'm thinking of getting a 17" Studio LCD to plug into the ADC port. I'm planning on using the LCD monitor alone most of the time, but using the VGA monitor in spanning mode occasionally for graphics/drafting. If I do this, I will probably have the VGA monitor on a KVM switch, and the VGA will also be connected to a linux PC (I just won't bother to plug the keyboard into the switch).
My question: If the VGA monitor is switched off (and it would probably look like it's unplugged due to the KVM switch), will my G4 boot in single screen mode, or will I just see half my desktop? Will I have to change the configuration every time I switch from one to two monitors?
