Nope, a MDD processor will not work in a Gig E. Completely different  
pin configurations.

The 12v mod is to get a QS processor in a DA. That is almost a  
straight drop in. To put a QS processor in a GigE or Sawtooth requires  
extensive modification on the case and motherboard.
