CS3 runs under 10.4.11, which is a bit faster and a lot less problematic on your Mac than Leopard, so I don’t see any reason for you to move to 10.5. See if you can increase the RAM, though, because CS3 is a heavy-weight pgm for such a computer. 512 MB RAM modules are less than 20 $ now, but you’ll have to find out exactly which G4 model you have (at Apple or Wikipedia) to know how much is the RAM ceiling.
