Look in the archives and check my postings. You will see that I explained that all PowerPC macs with USB can boot from USB. (except for beige systems and powerbooks before the G3 era.) I have successfully installed Mac OS X tiger on a blue (not indigo) iMac G3 @350Mhz with 512MB of RAM through my external DVD drive. Not only that, it has no firewire. I used XpostFacto. At first i really did think that PowerPC macs could not boot from USB drives, as i first attempted this on my Summer 2001 Graphite (yes, with firewire) iMac G3. I thought maybe it didn't work because of a OF error or block, but I then realized all that time i did not start up pressing and holding the Option button.
