I realize that this is a sort of elementary question but possibly someone will help me. Is it possible to copy the entire contents of my Hard drive to my external drive (300GB cap.) and automatically replace the files I have there, that would be duplicates but save the information that is new to my external hard drive? I have information saved on my external drive that is not stored on my computer hard drive that I would not want to lose, so erasing my external hard drive is not an option. As it is I am occupying external hard drive space by saving information I have already saved and adding to the problem that I already have. I hope I have phrased this problem so that it is somewhat understandable but I doubt it.
Much obliged

I'm not as young as I used to be But
I'm not as old as I'm going to be!
