Hi all,
I wish to run Photoshop version 7 on my G4 Powerbook 17" running Os X
10.5.8, however Pshop will not install as the Classic Environment is
not present. My G5/1.8 dual proc is running OS x 10.4.11 and I have
no problem with PS 7. I understand this is to do with OS X 10.5 no
supporting Classic. I have my old OS9 and OS X 10.4 install discs but
not OS X 10.5. This is my plan: Clone the Powerbook via CCC to an
external drive, re-format and partition it, install OS9 or OS X 10.4
on one partition and OS X 10.5.8 from the clone on the other. Is this
feasible/prudent? Also, since the Powerbook HD is quite small, would
OS9 be a wiser choice than Tiger? My install discs for OS9 and Tiger
are retail versions from my desktop towers, will this be a factor?
Many thanks for insight.
Cheers, Les
