Hi, There actually are: TerraSonica and Demor both have extensive virtual "3D"* audio engines. I believe Terraformers actually uses simple HRTF-algorithms too. Unfortunately TerraSonica (the game) is not available (I have a copy of the game-editor but I may not spread it) and although Demor can be played on your PC, it is buggy and not suited for use without the extra hardware...
