The major issue lisa is that well at least for some of
those agencies they use games from asabat and other companies that
make simple poor blindy games which fall into their scopes.
if it looks like a classic poor blindy game then fine they will take
it but they wouldn't take swamp at least I don't think they would.
there was some stuff on blind games here but even the mainstreamers
have not published that many articles.
I think the only way you can actually game and this does not include
the games the agencies recon the blind should play if at all is
subscribe to a list or audio gaming forum.
Ofcause there is funding those to.
I was sitting having lunch with an local net admin in the education
industry and we were laughing about the reasons you would tell your
local funding agency why you neede them to fund a programming
language or a game.
the fact is most of those agencies are business orientated not entertainment.
And although business is the main thing the entertainment thing is
almost ignored.
Well at least a lot of articles that are published are acurate about
the blind and their games and not the supor or poor blind anymore.
over that not much has changed.
Now if you ask for the official answer you probably won't get muuch
but maybe asabat or something.
I found if you ask actual people privately you get a better result.
Yes they do know the stuff is or may be out there but they just
don't recognise it publically or something to that effect.
a shame really maybe thats old I haven't enquired for some time but
rather heard through bits all over a couple years back.
there are probably some below radar clubs hanging round that I havn't
found yet there is always that.

learn how to get around a computer by playing a game.

Hi Lisa,
Hmm..You have an interesting point. Children's games has been
something both the magazine and developers have largely ignored. I
know that 7-128 has some games designed for children but games
suitable for blind children over all have been ignored. That might be
something to look into as educational and fun little children's games
could probably be marketed to state schools and parents of blind
children for a small fee.
Cheers!

i also think the magazine might be read by parents of kids wanting to know
waht games to get their visually impaired and blind children and teachers of
same kids so we need to i think we need a children's section of the
magazine. Just my thoughts folks.
