Hi joshua.
One thing to note in the game is the track command. This will let you find a
certain mob, though how accurate it is depends upon your skill.
Try this on the goats.
As I remember they're somewhere north west of the farmyard, round about
where the farmer is, but the track command should help.

If you go and talk to the farmer he'll give you quests to do.I'm guessing
that those locked doors will probably lead to the spell after you've
finished the quests, ie, the farmer gives you that big key but other than
that I'm not suree, however if your really stuck the chat is your friend,
the developer is always around and extremely nice for answering
questions, especially about puzzles.

Frandum has very definitely structured quests and exploration points
and
actual combat rather than set areas, also frandum isn't so much about
interlocking activities and puzzles as it is about wandering the world

examining everything for progress, plus Frandom has far more by way of
npcs
who offer information and quests and such than flux does, though i
don't
believe it has any preset logic puzzles like the flux mine sweeper or
randomly occurring mazes. Frandum also has combat as part of the game,

for butchering corpses for meat and as part of some quests, though
killing
creatures doesn't give you experience on it's own, though it can
improve
your combat skills.
Oh, and Frandum is obviously not set on an alien planet either.
