I'd have to agree with Dark on this one- I love hering that fourth level
music, or the second level (one of my favorites). And also- I personally
like the bricks smashing, - that was a big step in the right direction when
nintendo released the NES. It brings back good memories for me, too,
although I can't say I played it that much- I was more of the guy you'd find
playing a sega genisus- games such as sonic the hedghog- although not
popular, they stil remain one of my favorite all time games and I hope
someday to get enough programming skills under my belt to make it playable
by blind individuals. But, yes, I do agree with you about adding more modern
sounds for some parts of it, but, I don't mean to be rude here, it just
wouldn't be mario without the sound of smashing bricks, that particular
"mario" like music etc. I'm not sure if you've played mario back in the day,
but I can honestly say that it might as well be called something totally
different without that fireball, mushroom, or brick-smashing sound. Call me
a purist, or call me a fanboy- but I'm just stating a fact that, if you were
to play the orriginal mario for the nes, you'd understand right away.

Sorry for this long post- this is just oppinion/and a little fact.
