Hi Shaun, Quote
I've never bothered changing speech voice or rate since these are for the entire system and come from the speech tts dialogs. End quote I don't know what you are talking about but Montezuma's Revenge speech settings are specific to Monty. If you change the settings in Monty it wouldn't effect any other application using them. For example, speech settings using Sapi in Kitchensinc Monopoly and Montezuma's Revenge, and Rail Racer would all have their own settings. Changing settings In monty would not even effect settings for Monopoly, Rail Racer, bla. Quote Have you thought about doing what che has done and grab things from an incripted xml file? End quote That is exactly the way Monty worked in beta 1. I removed that style of code, because it wasn't friendly with Vista's User Account Control. Using binary serialization is fine, great way to store things like settings, but a pain if you aren't running as administrator under Vista. Which comes down to a decision. A. Either try and fix current settings problems. B. restore previous binary serialization and not support multiuser account control. --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] You can make changes or update your subscription via the web, at http://audyssey.org/mailman/listinfo/gamers_audyssey.org.
